Welcome to the Christian Bachschuster Foundation!

Our foundation provides financial support to charitable organizations that in turn support disadvantaged children and young people regardless of their nationality or race, e.g. in education (teaching aids, school and teaching materials) or health projects (prevention, treatment, maintenance, medical technology infrastructure).

This is what the German industrialist and Swiss immigrant Christian Bachschuster-Gehring (1907 - 2000) stipulated when he established his foundation in 1993.

He established the foundation modestly and selflessly out of gratitude for a fulfilled life's work in the state and the economy and in the vocational training of young people, in gratitude for the hospitality granted by Switzerland and in memory of his dear wife.
